Overview of our OrganizationWe began in 1997 as a women's entrepreneurial support program, under the name "Ladies of Destiny and Purpose, International. In 1999, our focus and mission broadened, and we formed "Destiny and Purpose Community Outreach (DAPCO) a charitable, educational and mission minded community development organization.

Organizational PurposeDAPCO is dedicated to assisting individuals to become stabilized, well rounded and anchored members of society.
DAPCO is committed to preserving the family by encouraging values and providing assistance and skills that will enable individuals to maintain healthy lives and relationships. Through these relationships, we propose to provide tools, resources and information that will include structured plans of resolution along with planned tactics that can be implemented as avenues for improving their quality of life.

Our Mission: The Mission of Destiny and Purpose Community Outreach (DAPCO) is to strengthen family: equipping men, women and youth who are at risk of becoming non-achievers with the skills and resources to become productive citizens with new hope; living purposeful lives with moral and ethical values.
Outreach Program Components
DAPCO offers a comprehensive range of services to support men, women, youth and senior citizens in Wayne and Washtenaw communities. These services include, but are not limited to:
1. Entrepreneurial coaching & business start-up for women
2. Youth on a Positive Note Role-model mentoring program
3. “Intertwined” Marriage and Relationship Enhancement program
4. Employment Training and Intern program for Youth
5. Alternate Solution (Ex-offender resource & intervention) Business and Recovery coaching included
6. Parent and Baby in Need
7. Senior Patrol & Senioressentials pantry
8. Recovery Coaching
9. COVID-19 Relief Efforts
10. DAPCO Village - emergency accommodations for Un-housed Veteran Females and their children
