​Looking for Seasoned Seniors
DAPCO is starting a new program in collaboration with a model training program and pay to work entity. We will connect you with the right resource to get started. Want to work part-time for a meaningful non-profit, want to give back to support and help others? Look no further DAPCO will connect you and give you plenty of opportunities, through our Seasoned Seniors to Work program.

Wonder Babies Pantry & our new Friends and Seniors Adult Needs Pantry
Wonder Babies is for Parents that have a genuine need for baby items. Download the flyer and give us a call for your first appointment or email us at dapco1@sbcglobal.net to submit for services.  One of our friendly staff will provide the information needed to get you started as a client. 
Friends and Seniors Adult Needs Pantry is a pantry set aside for adult incontinence needs, toiletries and other essential home items. 


The following Baby Pantries are up and running - Appointments are highly encouraged.

UPDATES - PROGRAM & SERVICES

1. Services include Peer Recovery Coaching (by certified and licensed professionals) Call (877) 832-1277 Ext. 103 to schedule your appointment.
2. Human Trafficking Program, called "Light Shines through Darkness" We are extremely happy to offer these services to victims of trafficking, especially our youth population.  This is what our program Director, Doreen Bethel has to say about our awareness training "In Prevention, we are committed to providing bright futures for the youth. Our young girls and boys who are/have been caught in the web of deceitful lies & have been emotionally manipulated. Our collaboration efforts with DAPCO will become beacons of hope and agents of change in our communities. The Awareness training workshops we provide will address the warning signs to look for in trafficking, an insidious evil permeating our cities, communities and lives of our most precious resources and future!
3. DAPCO will be collaborating with the Wayne State University Pantry as we collaborate to provide essential baby items to students who frequent their pantry. We anticipate placement of essential baby items will begin Mid-August and continue as the need and supply request dictates.
4. Become a Agency Partner with DAPCO, to learn how to become one, please call (877) 832-1277 Ext. 103 to set up a phone consultation or schedule a meeting to discuss agency needs and collaboration options. 
5. A tentative date of Saturday, October 24th we will host our 13th Annual Community Baby Shower, details of a safe, happy and joyous event will be forthcoming. 

• DAPCO staff has certification in several areas and will be happy to contract our services to the learning needs of your staff and clients.

Wise Lifestyle Choices
Parents that desire to set goals, learn ways to help their families survive in current life occurrences or better themselves overall can participate with our panel trainers bi-weekly virtually by participating in the Wise Lifestyle choice videos we will offer. Further reinforcement will be offered by taking a quiz that will follow.

Coming May-June 2024 
"Staying Ahead of Financial Pitfalls"
Sessions have been carefully selected for this series and taught by knowledgeable instructors from financial institutions.
Sessions will be conducted in a no pressure, work at your own pace environment online.

Dress for Success - they are our go to agency for our clients that need attire for interviews.  They also support our youth entrepreneurs and provide toiletry items for our annual Community Baby Shower.

Hamilton Crossing & Saulk Trails have opened for distribution. Serving parents through our Parent and Baby in Need program. The pantry will be open 1st and 4th Mondays 1-3 p.m. (Download the flyer  to the left for more information) Please call DAPCO first at (877) 832-1277 Ext. 103 for an appointment at this Pantry site. 
Avalon Housing, will refer clients to us and we may need their expertise in housing, advice and resources. 
Abigail Ministries - Co-outreach advisors will share resources and advice for transitional living to DAPCO. 

(2) Exciting online training projects!

DAPCO News! - We will be hosting Workshops for Parents and Youth throughout 2024. Our Youth on a Positive Note just finalized a cohort of trainings to finish out this year. A registration form is available to register your youth.  Youth one on one coaching via a meet up platform.  Calls will be scheduled until further notice and schedules provided to registered youth and parents. . A reliable consistent guardian must join in on the orientation call for the first session.  Schedules are being set up now for this exciting youth project"

Youth on a Positive Note (a program component of DAPCO) is looking to recruit youth serious about LEARNING, WORKING AND SITTING ON OUR YOUTH PANEL. Brainstorming sessions, develop a business model and get started generating honest money for your bank account,  many opportunities will exist for our youth just by participating. We are looking for youth Aged 14-19 for our upcoming virtual training program. 
​Youth that have been struggling to keep a job, never worked or need to better understand the expectations of certain work environments need to request our One to One coaching sessions. If you complete the 4 sessions successfully, you will have earned a small stipend, have the ability to earn incentives for meeting goals set forth and move onto our Youth Entrepreneurship Academy. Serving youth aged 14-19
